PADUCAH, Ky. — A portion of the northbound side of US 45, or Lone Oak Road, in McCracken County will see reduced access on Thursday due to construction.
Crews with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will work on-site at the 7.1-mile marker. Workers plan to put up a traffic light at the road’s intersection here with KY 1286, or North Friendship Road, and Lakeview Drive. This spot is by the Kentucky Fried Chicken.
Work for the light started earlier this week in the turn lanes. Thursday, work will shut down the northbound lane from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Crews warn drivers to remain cautious in the area as bucket trucks will be present. Drivers should continue to follow the old light until the new one is operational.
The KTC will provide updates on the construction as possible. Stay tuned to the cabinet’s District 1 Facebook page for the latest.
